My name is Micah McFarland I’m a Graphic Designer based in Los Angeles.
My challenge was to create a simple and elegant interface for organizing and attending live video events inside the KZO Platform.
We were beginning to integrate the product with other platforms and a pain point was our web recorder interface. It wasn’t responsive or intuitive, and it needed to be embeddable in anything from a mobile device to a 4k display and still look good.
We wanted to build a new website to help rebrand the product towards a Learning-focused audience. Our goal was to reflect the powerful ways video can bring people together, even in a corporate environment.
I was tasked with creating a new website for the Twitch series Artificial to go along with the launch of Season 2 of the show. We wanted the site to be an extension of the show’s universe, but also to function as a sort of wiki for fans to learn more and stay immersed.

A short game where the narrative is progressed by interacting with the objects strewn around an old man’s home. If you link two objects together, the man will unlock a core memory from his life. As you progress through the “seasons” of his life, the objects around him (and his memories of them) will change.
Take a look at the dialogue spreadsheet that shows every line of dialogue and its context within the game.
A piece of prose written for a writing test, this fantasy-adjacent sample shows worldbuilding, description, and character skills.
